Postdoc Position on Experimental Nuclear Physics at Institute of Modern Physics

The Superheavy Nuclide and Nuclear Structure Group at IMP, CAS is seeking an excellent candidate for a postdoctoral fellowship position in experimental nuclear physics. The selected candidate will work in the gamma spectroscopy team to operate and upgrade an experimental platform for nuclear structure and reaction studies, as well as to analyze the data, mainly on nuclear reaction mechanisms.

Postdoctoral Position Opening on the NvDEx Experiment at Institute of Modern Physics

The Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites applications for postdoctoral research associates to work on the NvDEx experiment, a novel neutrinoless double-beta decay experiment using high pressure 82SeF6 gas TPC and top-metal silicon sensor read-outs. The successful candidates may participate in any aspects of the experiment according to their interest and expertise, from the design and construction of the TPC, silicon sensor read-outs, pressure chamber, gas system to software and radiation background control.

Introduction

As one of the first institutes in China to be approved to admit graduate students, IMP began providing master’s and PhD programs respectively in 1978 and 1985. Since 2011, IMP has started to admit international students. Warmly welcome excellent young students to apply for studying at IMP.
