Introduction

As the most prominent research institute for heavy-ion science and technology in China, the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is always seeking for talents to join us in research at the forefront of science and technology.

Qualifications:     

The expected applicants should have a PhD in nuclear physics/ particle physics/ atomic and molecular physics/ biophysics/ material science/ accelerator physics. Interested candidates with postdoctoral experiences are preferred.

Talents Projects 

 

1. The CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI):  

Scientific research personnel from around the globe can apply for the PIFI project, a specific funding program offered by CAS to attract international talents to work and study at CAS.  

How to apply 

1) Find a host researcher 

Foreign applicants must find a CAS scientist as his or her host researcher, who would recommend him or her for PIFI application.

2. International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship Program (Talent Introduction Program) 

The Talent Introduction Program of Postdoctoral International Exchange Program aims to fund excellent international young researchers (including Chinese and foreign nationals) who have obtained or about to obtain PhD degrees from overseas institutes (including those in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) pursuing postdoctoral research in a Chinese university/institute. 

The selected candidates would be co-funded for two years, by the Office of China Postdoc Council (OCPC) and the host institution: an allowance of 200,000 RMB each year shall be provided by OCPC and another 100,000 RMB per year by the host institution/group, which would be used for covering living expenses, housing allowances, social insurance, round-trip international travel expenses, etc.
