Nuclear Data Research Group
Brief Introduction
The Nuclear Data Research Group focuses on major national strategic needs and frontier issues in nuclear science, committing to basic research and technological innovation in nuclear data for two key areas: accelerator-driven advanced nuclear energy and radioactive medical isotopes, so as to promote the high-quality development of nuclear data as a discipline.
The main research directions include: nuclear data research for Accelerator-Driven Advanced Nuclear Energy Systems (ADANES), nuclear reaction data related to radioactive medical isotopes, and basic nuclear data for high-energy-density physics.
The research group relies on national large-scale scientific facilities such as the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL), the China initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS), and the High Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF). It has built an advanced nuclear data experimental research platform, focusing on the precise measurement of nuclear reaction cross-sections induced by neutrons and charged particles, the study of heavy-ion collision reaction dynamics, and nuclear data experiments and theoretical calculations.
These achievements provide critical data support for major scientific missions including accelerator-driven advanced nuclear energy systems, R&D and production optimization of medical radioisotopes, and heavy-ion-driven inertial confinement fusion.
