Seminar: Molecular Beam Thermodynamics
Title: Molecular beam thermodynamics
Speaker: Prof. Klavs Hansen (Tianjin University)
Time: 10:00am, June. 24 (Thursday), 2021
Place: Room 666, Building 5
Abstract:
Isolating clusters and molecules into beams flying through vacuum leads to serious modifications of standard equilibrium thermodynamics. Fields affected are Arrhenius plots and exponential decays. In the talk l will give the background for these modifications and show how they can be used constructively to monitor dark decay channels and to measure otherwise unaccessible quantities associated with unimolecular decays.
