About the speaker:
Meng Jie received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Peking University in 1991. After graduation, he was engaged in postdoctoral research in institutions in China, Germany and Japan. He has been a professor in Peking University since 1997 and worked as a visiting professor in well-known universities around the world. Meng made original contributions in fields including chiral symmetry of atomic nucleus, corona phenomenon, and so on. He has authored or co-authored over 400 articles and won many scientific awards at home and abroad. Professor Meng became a fellow of the American Institute of Physics in 2012. And he was elected as a foreign fellow of the Academy of Europe in 2018.
