Seminar: The Status of the Electron Cooling System for the NICA Collider
Title: The status of the electron cooling system for the NICA collider
Speaker: Dr. Vladimir Reva (Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, SB RAS)
Time: 09:00am, Oct.30 (Wednesday), 2019
Place: Cafe, Central control room, Building 6
Abstract:
New electron cooling system is designed to cool two heavy ion beams propagating in opposite directions at a distance about 30 cm from each other. The speaker will talk about the status of the electron cooling system for the NICA Collider. The potential opportunities to improve parameters of the experiments with ion beams using the electron cooling system will be discussed.
