Nuclear matter phase structure group at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites application for a postdoctoral position in theoretical nuclear physics to begin in fall, 2020 (dates are flexible). The outstanding applicant might be considered to be promoted to an assistant scientist. 

The successful candidate will work collaboratively and independently on QCD related research, with an emphasis on the understanding of the QCD phase structure in extreme conditions and/or on quantum and off-equilibrium dynamics of the QCD matter. 

The appointment is initially for two years. The expected applicants should have a Ph.D. degree within the past five years, in theoretical particle physics and/or nuclear physics. Applicants will be required to submit a CV, list of publications, statement of research interests and reference letters. The review of the application will start on Jan. 15, 2020 and will continue until the position is filled.
