APEX Experimental installations at HIAF in Huizhou

At the spectrometer ring (SRing), an independent electron target will be installed for precision dielectronic recombination (DR) experiments with highly charged ions such hydrogen like uranium, etc. and in the same straight section, optical windows are reserved for laser spectroscopy and laser cooling of HCIs, more importantly, using HHG-XUV laser system open up new possibilities for this directions. In the internal target area, two kind of spectrometers will be installed, reaction microscope for relativistic ultrafast dynamics and x-ray spectroscopy. By employing extracted, intense heavy ion short pulse will be delivered to target station to produce warm dense matter (WDM) and high energy density matter (HEDM). At low energy section of linear acceleration, in experimental hall for new nuclei synthesis, a beamline for laser spectroscopy of radioactive ions and super heavy nuclei will be constructed. The sites related to the above experimental arrange are labeled in the layout of HIAF.
