Title: Baryon studies at BESIII

Speaker: Prof. HUANG Guangshun (University of Science and Technology of China)

Time: 10:00am, June. 30 (Wednesday), 2021

Place: Room 218, Building 5

Abstract:

The Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII) locates at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPCII) running in center-of-mass energy range between 2.0 and 4.95 GeV. Huge data samples have been accumulated since 2009, making it possible for versatile studies. This talk covers studies with baryons at BESIII, including the measurements of electromagnetic form factors, polarization, and search for the CP-violation.

About the speaker:

Guangshun Huang is a professor of physics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He received his B.S. from Tsinghua University in 1991 and Ph.D from Institute of High Energy Physics in 1999. In recent years his major efforts have been on R-QCD physics at the BESIII experiment and space cosmic-ray measurement for the DAMPE (Dark Matter Particle Explorer) satellite mission.
