Prof. Craig D. Roberts Appointed Visiting Professor of IMP
Craig D. Roberts, professor of Nanjing University, was appointed Visiting Professor of the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on November 11.
After the ceremony, Prof. Roberts delivered a speech entitled “Seeking Nuclear Physics in QCD”, and held in-depth discussions with researchers and graduate students from IMP.

Prof. Roberts received his PhD in theoretical physics from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1988. He joined the Theory Group in the Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory in 1989, and served as group leader from 2001 to 2018. In 2019, Prof. Craig Roberts joined the faculty of the School of Physics at Nanjing University, where he is also head of the Institute for Nonperturbative Physics. As one of the world’s leading scientists in the field of Hadron physics, he has published 209 articles in peer-reviewed journals with over 16,000 citations.
